Most clinical training teaches techniques in isolation.
What’s rarely taught — and what separates good practitioners from exceptional ones — is how to integrate everything on a real, complicated human being who doesn’t read the textbook.
That’s what the Mastery Circle exists for.
Each month a themed, 1-hour session incorporating a clinical case study will be presented by Matt Wallden and another highly experienced clinician. Topics covered will be determined interactively; based on Case Studies available from the libraries of the hosts – as well as Mastery Group members.
Who is it for?
The Mastery Circle is for experienced practitioners who’ve hit the ceiling of what conventional CPD offers — CHEK Professionals, osteopaths, physiotherapists, chiropractors and functional medicine practitioners who think in systems and are tired of treating the body in parts. If you’ve ever felt your training gave you the pieces but not the way they fit together, you’ll be at home here.
What am I signing up to?
The M A S T E R Y C I R C L E is a monthly online meet where you have the option to submit case histories or questions in advance for the CIRCLE hosts to respond to, in circle. It is recorded and sent to members after the event for review – or for if you’re unable to make it. A summarised review document is also sent – a written synopsis you can file and return to — to grow your library of integrated case strategies. When you join us here you are subscribed monthly but have the option to step out at any point – you have full control. No notice period, no awkward conversation — you’re in because you want to be.
What’s the Theme?
The theme of each meeting is based around a specific condition or presentation (for example, rehabilitation of someone with a complex lumbar spine issue – like a posterior disc bulge and a spondylolisthesis, or medial meniscal tear with ACL injury, or differentiating tendinitis from tendinopathy from paratenonitis). Each theme is chosen because it’s the kind of presentation that can stall in practice — multi-factorial, stubborn, rarely resolved by a single intervention.
Case Studies:
One or more real-world case studies will be used (from the hosts’ back-catalogue – or from a Mastery Student’s portfolio) providing insight into effective integrated clinical strategies and interventions. Send in your own stuck case and have it worked through by a room of experts.

Clinical mastery isn’t a destination you arrive at; it’s a practice you keep sharpening, ideally in good company. That’s what the Circle is — a room of serious practitioners, thinking hard together, once a month. We’d be glad to have you in it.
Sessions will be held on a specified week-day, around midday Pacific Time. Dates & times will be communicated to Mastery Circle Members at least 1 month in advance.
