From Symptoms To Systems – addressing allostatic load and central sensitisation with the HAQ.
What the workshop is, and what you’ll learn
Over 3 live sessions, we work through all 28 organ and glandular systems the Health Appraisal Questionnaire screens, using a single repeatable method for each one. For every system you’ll learn
- what a high score affects downstream
- what tends to drive it
- what balances it, and
- what else to weigh — the wider field of sleep, stress, circumstance and relationship.
This is the method I call Maximal Gains: reading a client’s high-priority systems as the places where addressing the load returns the most.
The thread running through all 3 sessions is the science that reframes the whole picture. Symptoms are not faults to be silenced; they are systems reporting their load. And when that load accumulates — many individual sub-threshold drives summing across the body — it becomes the driving force behind central sensitisation. You’ll see how the HAQ maps that load in a way the validated but blunt Central Sensitization Inventory cannot, and how to use it to decide where to start.
Session 1 introduces the instrument and the first eight systems.
Session 2 covers the next twelve.
Session 3 completes the final eight and closes with the chakra scoring, read as arguably the original biopsychosocial model.
Each session ends with integration and live Q&A — and your questions shape the learning as we go.
You’ll leave able to read a HAQ report as one integrated picture rather than a list of complaints, and to structure an optimised coaching approach from it. Better understanding, better results, for you and your clients.
Three Saturdays — 7th, 14th & 21st November, 7am or 4pm GMT.
