The Neutraliser is for anyone aiming optimise their exercise technique to expedite their movement progress, from injured or rehabilitating patients, to high-performance athletes.

Many 4-point kneeling exercises are done for core conditioning. Performing them with a neutral spine helps to activate the transversus abdominis, a key stabiliser in the core. The Neutraliser Cord provides abdominal wall feedback and the Neutraliser Pin reminds you not to flatten your back. This all facilitates activation of other stabiliser muscles, such as the multifidus and pelvic floor. Keeping your head in contact with the Neutraliser Device throughout optimises head and neck posture; helpful in reducing neck and shoulder pain and headaches.
The Neutraliser serves as a Personal Trainer or Conditioning Coach you can take with you wherever you are – at home, in the gym, travelling – providing you with effective biofeedback when learning the skill of maintaining a neutral spine for optimal posture, technique, injury prevention and performance.
All too often we may be doing the “right” exercise, but in the “wrong” way, so the benefits may be compromised or lost.
Learning the skill of “finding your neutral” is a key goal of many rehabilitation and performance conditioning programs.
If you’re injured or just starting out:
For the injured or deconditioned individual, a neutral spine aids in optimizing loading through the spine, encouraging the muscles of the hip and legs to do their share of the work.
If you’re training for sports performance:
For the athlete, injuries often occur when there is an imbalance in contraction between the leg and back musculature, so learning a neutral spine in the base conditioning phase means that higher level performance training can be engaged in with peace of mind.

The deadlift (or bend Primal Pattern) is essential conditioning for optimal function in everyday life, and to build a base of strength before moving onto more performance-oriented, sports-specific conditioning.
The Neutral Spine Principle
As with all concepts, the neutral spine principle is often misunderstood, or only understood partially. The goal is never to make you move only with a neutral spine. Instead, the goal is to provide base-conditioning in the neutral spine position so that it becomes the default position your body wants to return to between other functional movements.
As such, the Neutraliser forms a key component of early rehabilitation or conditioning and then may be used in more advanced conditioning to check-in on your form from time to time. Additionally, the Neutraliser Cord can be used individually in certain movement patterns or training techniques that do not require maintenance of a neutral spine, but where core activation is still essential – such as agility drills. The Neutraliser Cord helps to inform you of when you are using your abdominal muscles in what’s termed a “rectus abdominis (RA) dominant” way. In other words, if you push out with your abdominal wall (RA Dominant) whilst doing a movement pattern, your rectus abdominis (power muscle) is overcoming the transversus abdominis (stabilising muscle), which puts increased stress onto your low back.
There are nuances to the Neutral Spine discussion which we walk you through in the Neutral Spine Principal webinar and in the Neutraliser Instructional Video which can be purchased individually, or you will receive when you invest in the Neutraliser Kit.
If you’re looking to achieve:
– better posture,
– better function
– better strength
– better resistance to injury and
– better overall performance…
…then the Neutraliser is for you. It’s the same you, just better!
